The South West Dorset Multicultural Network grew out of the successful family events and networking organised by the Black and Mixed Race Family Group, funded and supported by the lottery and Dorset Race Equality Council in 2004.
South West Dorset Multicultural Network serves specifically the communities of West Dorset, Weymouth and Portland, but in the spirit of openness and to promote good community relations, welcomes all who share our aims, wherever resident.
South West Dorset Multicultural Network has been supported by West Dorset District Council since 2003 who have provided resources including staff time and assistance with the design and distribution of the newsletter.
South West Dorset Multicultural Network became a registered charity in 2012.
